BURN BAN IS ACTIVE — Warm, dry and breezy conditions today will allow for elevated or near critical fire weather conditions today in the area, according to the National Weather Service. Because of the fire danger, the county’s burn ban will be in effect. No outdoor burning is allowed. Today’s high will be around 89 under sunny skies. Warm and dry temperatures will stick around through the weekend before a chance of rain and cooler temperatures are forecast for the beginning of the work week.

VOLLEYBALL RESULTS — VCA (26-0, 6-0) finished the regular season Thursday with a sweep against Chisholm Trail Academy, 25-16, 25-6, 25-7. Haley Mullaney led the team with 11 kills, 17 assists and five aces. TCAF’s playoff matchups have yet to be announced.
