PRICE-Alma Rae Procarione, our beloved precious mother, grandmother, and friend peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on November 3, 2022 at the age of 87.
She was born November 2, 1935, to William McKinley and Ida Richardson Bates in Helper, Utah where she spent her childhood alongside her brothers James William and Jack Bates. She attended Helper Jr. High and Carbon High School. Married her sweetheart Rudy Procarione on August 20, 1954 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they raised four children, opened a business and shared love and laughter with their many friends and family. Rudy and Rae were lifelong participants in the bowling league at Country Lanes and had many memories of the great time spent with friends.
Rae had a strong, unrelenting faith in her Savior Jesus Christ. She shared the gospel with everyone she met. She often said, “If I can be a good example of Christ’s love to just one person in my life, I will feel my life was complete.” As a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held many callings, including Relief Society President and Scouting, but her true love was her calling in genealogy. She thoroughly enjoyed her Mondays spent at the genealogy library and her temple trips.
She was always very active in civic duties, including chamber of commerce, March of Dimes and countless others. Alma Rae worked in medical records at Carbon Hospital for many years and eventually served as the administrative…
