■Boscawen Polls are open on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Boscawen Elementary School. If you are not registered to vote in Boscawen, you can do so on Election Day. Town Offices will be closed on Election Day and the morning after voting, they will also be closed on Nov. 11 in honor of Veteran’s Day.
■“Music in My Pockets: Family Fun in Folk Music” is coming to the Boscawen Public Library on Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Attendees will enjoy revisiting a New England town in 1850 or 1910 when families gathered around the kitchen hearth, participating in singing games, using pocket instruments like spoons and dancing puppets and sharing songs.
■History Buffs are invited to browse the wonderful collection of books, artifacts and information at the Boscawen Historical Society at 226 King St. The museum will be open on Nov. 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. and by appointment for the next few months. Volunteers to help with displays and input data are needed. Leave a message at (603) 995-0111 if interested.
Mrs. Queen Takes the Train a novel by William Kuhn will be reviewed by the Boscawen Public Library’s Book Discussion Group at their meeting on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
■This year’s holiday food baskets will be replaced with a voucher program to be used at participating Market Baskets. Forms to apply are available at the Town Municipal Offices at 116 N. Main St., or on their website…
