May programs coming to the Belding library
The following programs will be held at the Alvah N. Belding Library in May. There is no need to register, just drop in and join in on the fun.
Story Time is held at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday in the library’s meeting room. Children up to age 5 can join Miss Barbara as she reads stories and also provides a craft to make and take home.
Miss Kelly will host Senior Social Bingo on at 2 p.m. on May 4 in the library’s meeting room. Prizes will be awarded and snacks are included.
Genealogy Group will happen at 10 a.m. on May 27 in the library’s meeting room. This is an informal roundtable discussing and sharing genealogy knowledge.

Memorial donations for Jack Lyle Scheid have purchased the following adult non-fiction titles. “Bushcraft Whittling: Projects for Carving useful Tools at Camp and in the Field,” “Family Handyman Hacks: over 780 DIY Hacks” and “Family Handyman Whole House Repair Guide” from Kort & Mary Warner, “Family Handyman 1-day Projects” from Olga Albert, “The Essential Handsaw Book,” “Wild Rescues: a Paramedics Extreme Adventure in Yosemite, Yellowstone & Grand Tetons,” “Unusual Uses for Everyday Items” and “The Everything Easy Pre-Diabetes Cookbook” from The Paul Scheid Family.
Items added to the children’s collection in memory of Mr. Scheid are “Monday,” “Little Lunch Truck,” “Carlo Draws an Octopus,” “Home is…,” “Secret Secret Agent Guy” and “Who’s Big Rig?” from Tracy Muckelbauer.
Delbert F. ‘Bear’ Linebaugh memorial donations purchased items for the children’s collection that are “Hush, Little Trucker,” “Construction Site: Road Crew, Coming Through!,” “Truck & Tractor Pulls” and “10 Little Tractors from Sue & Joe Cooper and “They’re Tearing up Mulberry Street” from Donna Dorey.
Marjorie ‘Marj’ Gibson is remembered with “The Family Irish Genealogy Guide: How to Trace your Ancestors in Ireland,” “The Family Tree Scandinavian Genealogy Guide: How to Trace your Ancestors in Denmark, Sweden and Norway” and “Practical Genealogy: 50 Simple Steps to Research your Diverse Family History” purchased from a donation from Mike & Pauline Fuller.
Phyllis Jenkins has given a memorial donation for Nancy A. Wright, it purchased these items that were added to the children’s collection. “Learning with llama Llama ABC,” from the series A Gumboot Kids Nature Mystery: “The Case of the Singing Ocean” and “The Case of the Vanishing Caterpillar.”
