Genealogy allows researchers to reach families, learning about the past that may include health history, traditions, religion, and even events that may have shaped both the past and present.

This upcoming class that’s themed “brings out the dead” will offer genealogy with a spooky twist. Being that Halloween is just around the corner, in the genealogy department this will commemorate those who have passed on.

Becky Quinten, HCCPL genealogist, noted “Discovering your family’s cemeteries or grave sites unites the present with the past in a tangible way when you have the opportunity to learn more about the importance of cemeteries in genealogy research.”
