As Canadians, we celebrate the kaleidoscope of cultures represented in our community. Through Stettler Culture Days we offer fantastic activities with our community partners all over town during the month of September. Check out the art exhibit, Party On! displayed at the library this month. Lively pieces by 14 different Alberta artists each depict a single moment of shared revelry and inter-connectedness, whether scenes of musical performance, dancing, carnivals or special occasion, food and drink.

Children:
With the start of a new school year, K-12 students can take advantage of our free tutoring service. Call the library for details.
Some of the best memories of my child-raising years are the many hours we spent reading together as a family. Besides being fun, it’s hard to over-emphasize the cognitive benefits to young children. Ask about our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program where you can earn prizes as you track your progress on a free app.
And don’t forget Read and Rhyme — stories, songs, and activities for children aged 0-5 and their parents. Meet new friends and have fun as you build pre-literacy skills on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings in the library at 10:30 a.m.
