  • Notes 
    • There appear to be conflicting records about Sarah/Susanah. The most widely accepted is that Susanah is S.Swann, a Powhatan princess that married Dabney after his first wife died.

      Other sources say that would have been widely unlikely because of the prohibitions at the time and other documents for Dabney that do not show any native connections, however it does mention her first marriage to David Andersen.

      With the prohibition in place and Sarah's known first marriage, I choose to accept that she was not Powhatan.
