Keeping Free Genealogy on the Web

20th Anniversary Proudly Serving Free Genealogy Resources for 25 Years

The USGenWeb Project ® was established in 1996 by a group of genealogists who shared a desire to develop totally free online resources for genealogical research. Originally beginning with online directories of text-based resources, their vision has actually grown into a network of over 3000 connected sites, all individually produced and preserved by a neighborhood of volunteers. Today you might find a range of unique county and state resources consisting of photos, maps, transcriptions, historical documents, helpful links, and much more.
